Birchwood is managed by Bidborough Parish Council and we joined a large group of local residents to plant a new boundary hedge.

On several previous occasions we had worked to clear the boundary of the rampant holly which had grown up in the wake of the 1987 Great Storm and other more recent  storm damage to mature trees.

The hedge was a mix of Hawthorn, Blackthorn, Hazel, and Beech with a few Spindle bushes to add extra interest.
