Autumn 2008 Task Programme

Sunday 21st September            Addington Meadow
Pruning and tidying up the the hedge planted in 2003/4.
Grid Ref 652590. Meet at public recreation ground on south side of Park Rd, Addington.

Sunday 5th October           Chiddingston  Reserve - Kent Wildlife Trust.
Pond Clearance. Leader Pete Flower.  The site is an old brick works which is now established woodland. The task is to clear a pond to improve the quality of the habitat. OS 188 Grid Ref 511468.  Meet at yard next to Brickyard Cottage, 1 mile west of Penshurst railway station on north side of the B2027.

Sunday 19th October    Bore Place, Bowzell’s Lane, Chiddingstone
Working with John Waller –Ride widening to improve habitat and path surfacing. Commonwork Land Trust site. 
OS 188 Grid Ref 505490.  Meet at Bore Place car park over the cattle grid on the right at the end of the entrance lane.

Sunday 2nd November    Birchwood, Bidborough Ridge.
Attacking holly and silverbirch in an area of woodland maintained for the local community.
Meet at public footpath entrance to Birchwood on St Lawrence Ave off Woodland Way, Bidborough.  OS188  Grid Ref 568434.
