A site newly acquired by the RSPB - 180 hectares of woodland south of Tunbridge Wells, west of the A26. Currently awaiting approval of a ten-year management plan to restore conifer plantation to heathland. We will continue birch thinning and removing small conifers in a boggy area full of high tussocky grass and heather. Stout footwear is essential as the terrain is challenging.
